I often wonder how different things might of have been had I found a GT-S instead of my GT. I can tell you I looked for about six months, and certainly never found more than two GT-S’, and definitely not for a measly $3500 or in this condition, which I would have bought without thinking.
The seller says his uncle says it has trouble going into reverse... They’ve only had it for a year. Are they aware the pretty much every manual Toyota made grinds into reverse like a MFer? Someone might be really lucky. Even still, if it needed a transmission swap, not a huge deal. Talk them down under $3k, boom.
As for me, the GT-S would have fixed 99% of my complaints, but my head would still hit the headliner.

They are the same seat design as the AE86 GTS, MK2 Celica Supra P-type, ST165 Celica All Trac, and MK3 Supra. Easily one of the best OEM seats ever. I swapped some into my Cressida.

The GTS has independent rear suspension like the Supra too. Much easier to modify and have fun with.

Gotta watch the cl trap when you aren’t shopping. You will always find deals you can’t get and make yourself sad.
Now I avoid cl like the plague except for factory t/a wheels.

I only found my 240Z because an old guy didn’t list it in the larger city area, he just put it in Santa Cruz and I happened to look around there. If he had included SF and San Jose I think it would have been gone.

That’s why I always do the “search nearby areas”. There are some fun things hidden in small towns
